BTW, there are really no set rules. It would be nice if you could continue the thread on the Polish side of the Forum about Jan from Kujaw. And you could also post the same information here. On the Polish side, it has been suggested that those who know both Polish and English, post in both of those languages for those of us who don't know both.

If you would like to do that and need some help, there is an online translation site:

It does not always give the best translation. But it works pretty well at giving the gist of the translation. As you can read Polish, you should be able to tell if it conveys your meaning/intent. If not you can substitute other words with the same meaning or rework the grammar.

No rules as Jim wrote above. This is your forum as well, feel like home.
If you will use translators and post in both languages - it would be very nice and helpfull.

As I know from the other forum cocncerning my family (mother's line) - there is no big rush on it but many people read it.
I'm afraid we should be patient...

There is a new portal connecting people which were studying/learning together in the past (one school). Exists one month or so and there is really big rush on it. Hope to promote our forum on it.

So glad I found this site today. I have been working on our tree for years but just recently started on My Grandmothers line. The Paprocki's. I know they were from a couple of places in Poland, Lobzenica, Posen,Poland. Oppica, Wysoka, Poland. And Lobernica, Posen, Poland. Does any one know anything about Marianne 1828 or Josephus Paprocki 1792?
